PAIRING 19: DUCK SEMIFINALS

This is Day Nineteen of the March Madness poultry judging. For previous pairings, instructions, and a copy of the bracket, please see our other posts here.

NOTE: Due to delays from Mr. Decker, the deadline for final brackets has been extended until tomorrow (3/21/2024) at 22:00 EST.

Waterfowl semifinals: Romeo v. WHM77

I apologize for the late posting of yesterday's match-up, I was waiting for Day 7 results from Mr. Decker. There will be two match-ups posted today for critiques!

We are starting to get into a bit more challenging pairings again today. Both of these birds are in different weight classes. Whereas with other breed pairings, the general purpose was the same (even for Asiatic vs. American, both birds were very large meat producers), but with these two you have two very distinct breed traits. One is an egg production bird, the other a clear dual-purpose. Also take note of the lighting on Romeo, and updated pictures in previous posts, and try to not let the photo itself detract from the important features of the bird.

Again, comments are welcome and results will be posted once the brackets are all in!

Thank you to Nadia Konesko and Zachary Wresinski for providing images of the birds above.
